North America Payroll Manager - Up to $110k + 15% bonus
Our client, an international financial organization, is hiring a Payroll Manager to oversee payroll operations across the United States and Canada. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing while driving operational excellence, process improvement, and employee experience. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in multi-country payroll (U.S. and Canada), strong technical proficiency with ADP and Oracle HCM systems, and a proven track record of leading payroll teams in high‑volume environments. 2 days onsite, 3 days remote
Key Responsibilities
Lead end‑to‑end payroll processing for U.S. and Canadian employees, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness. Oversee payroll schedules, reconciliations, audits, and reporting cycles. Stay current on federal, state/provincial, and local payroll legislation and tax laws. Manage tax filings, remittances, and compliance with all regulatory requirements. Mentor, develop, and lead a payroll team, fostering collaboration and accountability. Partner with Finance, HR, and external vendors to ensure seamless payroll operations and data integrity. Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging automation and technology to streamline processes. Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership by providing insights on payroll trends, risks, and opportunities. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field (CPP/PCP certification preferred). 5+ years of progressive payroll experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Proven expertise in both U.S. and Canadian payroll processing and compliance. Advanced proficiency with ADP Workforce Now; experience with Oracle HCM Cloud highly preferred. Experience managing payroll for 500–700+ employees is highly desirable. Seniority level
