Job Summary and Qualifications This position is responsible for enhancing professional practice and the provision of quality patient care in the identified specialty throughout hospitals in their assigned division. The Associate Clinical Professional Development Educator (CPDSE) will have deep subject matter expertise in specialty allied areas and will provide evidence‑based, quality educational programs and activities that promote professional competency for nursing, inter‑professional and non‑licensed clinical staff in the identified specialty setting.

In this role you will:

Assess practice gaps.

Collaborate with the clinical education team members which may include the Director, Clinical Programs and Market Director, Clinical Professional Development and/or Clinical Professional Development Educator to evaluate and adjust educational programs based on evaluations and feedback.

Promote safe, quality and compassionate patient care.

Align educational programs with organization’s policies and procedures.

Ensure that educational programs meet regulatory requirements.

Incorporate organizational values/culture.

Support new ideas and innovation in educational design.

Identify resources for problem solving.

Utilize current, best evidence to improve specialty nursing throughout the division.

Provide staff with resources and education to implement changes.

What experience and education is needed for this role

Associate’s degree in Nursing Required

2+ years of experience in acute care hospital Preferred

2+ years of experience in clinical education Preferred

Currently licensed as appropriate to education in the state(s) in which he or she practices, in accordance with law and regulation. Required

Nationally Recognized Specialty certification Preferred

BLS Required

Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
