We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Veterinary Practice Manager to lead and oversee the operations of Ramsgate Veterinary Clinic. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our hospital, fostering a positive team culture, and maintaining the highest standards of client service and patient care.
About Our Clinic Ramsgate Veterinary Clinic has proudly served the Waco, TX community since 1989, offering high‑quality care to both large and small animals. As a mixed animal practice, we provide a wide range of services including farm calls, boarding, grooming, and acupuncture. Our modern diagnostic and treatment tools, paired with an experienced, tight‑knit team of veterinarians, technicians, and support staff, create a welcoming and supportive environment for clients and colleagues alike.
Location Located in the heart of Waco, Texas, Ramsgate Veterinary Clinic is part of a vibrant, growing community with a small‑town feel and big‑city amenities.
Responsibilities
Leadership and Staff Management:
Provide leadership, guidance, and direction to a team of veterinary professionals, support staff, and administrative personnel.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork, accountability, and professional development.
Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate staff members, ensuring a skilled and motivated team.
Business Operations and Financial Management:
Develop and execute strategic plans to enhance the clinic's operational efficiency, client satisfaction, and revenue growth.
Monitor and manage the clinic's financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Oversee inventory management, procurement, and vendor relationships.
Client Service and Satisfaction:
Ensure exceptional client experiences by maintaining high standards of customer service, communication, and professionalism.
Address client concerns and feedback promptly and effectively, striving for continuous improvement in client satisfaction.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
Ensure compliance with veterinary regulations, industry standards, and best practices to uphold the highest quality of care and safety.
Implement and maintain protocols for patient care, medical records, and administrative procedures.
Marketing and Business Development:
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement strategies to attract new clients, retain existing clients, and enhance the clinic's reputation.
Identify opportunities for business growth, such as expanding services, partnerships, and community outreach.
Facility and Resource Management:
Oversee the maintenance and organization of the clinic's physical facilities, equipment, and supplies.
Coordinate with IT support for technology systems, software, and hardware maintenance.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Veterinary Management, or related field. MBA or CVPM (Certified Veterinary Practice Manager) certification is a plus.
2-5 years of veterinary hospital management experience.
Strong leadership, organizational, and decision‑making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team management and client interaction.
Business acumen, including financial analysis, budgeting, and strategic planning.
Proficiency in using practice management software, Microsoft Office, and other relevant tools.
Passion for animal welfare and commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and client service.
Ability to lift 40 lbs unassisted.
Benefits Salary: $55k-$75k annually, to commensurate with experience.
