Medical Laboratory Scientist – Technician
Join HCA HealthONE as a Medical Laboratory Scientist – Technician. We are looking for an enthusiastic technician to provide technical quality testing across patient populations.
Hourly Wage Estimate: $29.72 - $46.60 / hour
Job Summary Provide technical quality testing for neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients in the laboratory setting, ensuring compliance with CAP, JCAHO, OSHA, AABB, FDA, and CLIA standards. Continuously improve clinical testing through formal and informal education.
Responsibilities
Provide technical quality testing for neonates, pediatrics, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
Ensure compliance with CAP, JCAHO, OSHA, AABB, FDA, and CLIA standards.
Maintain knowledge of all procedures and protocols.
Perform required quality control and function verification of equipment.
Continuously improve clinical testing through formal and informal education.
Qualifications
ASCP or AMT certification required within 6 months of hire; ASCP preferred.
Associate degree in related science required; Bachelor’s degree in related science preferred.
College graduate or equivalent who has passed a certification examination for Medical Technologist by ASCP or AMT or has completed an accredited MLT program with ASCP Board Certification is accepted.
Experience in a hospital laboratory desired but not necessary.
Shift: 4 8‑hour shifts per week with rotating weekends and holidays (48 hours per week).
