Role Overview

Recruiting for a midsize NYC commercial real estate boutique (~30 attorneys, Super Lawyers‑recognized for real estate excellence).

Seeking Commercial Real Estate Transactions Associates with leasing or acquisition deals experience.

On‑site Broadway office (1 day/week home option, flexible for established performers), focusing on $20M‑$75M leases, sales, and financings for Manhattan’s top‑tier developers.

Compensation : $125K (1st year), $150K (2nd year), $185K (3rd year) + performance bonuses.

Deal Momentum : 30+ leases and acquisitions in 2024, including $30M+ retail ground leases.

Key Duties

Draft and negotiate commercial real estate agreements, including purchase and sale contracts, leases, and easements, compliant with New York Real Property Law.

Perform due diligence, including title examinations, zoning reviews under NYC Zoning Resolution, and environmental compliance checks, for real estate transactions.

Prepare closing documents and coordinate with title companies to ensure compliance with New York City’s Real Property Transfer Tax and recording requirements.

Advise clients on structuring real estate deals to address New York‑specific tax incentives, such as 421‑a exemptions, and mitigate investment risks.

Manage transaction processes, including lien resolutions and escrow agreements, to facilitate timely closings of Manhattan commercial real estate deals.
