Job Summary Primary focus for this position will be Cardiac Nuclear services, but will also serve as a back‑up for general and PET/CT nuclear services.
The person in this position is required to meet all Job Responsibilities of a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, as well as additional duties in a peer leadership capacity to facilitate operations.
Leadership duties include performing QA; directing resources throughout the day; ensuring compliance for policies and procedures in daily operations; working with operations to implement process changes, quality improvement initiatives and accreditation processes; serving as a resource for faculty and research coordinators across the enterprise spectrum to support nuclear medicine services; and other duties as assigned.
This position is eligible for a sign‑on bonus: $10,000 for new graduates (less than one year of experience) and $20,000 for candidates with one or more years of experience, contingent upon a 18‑month employment commitment. Further details will be discussed during the hiring process.
Responsibilities
Cardiac nuclear services operations.
Backup for general and PET/CT nuclear services.
Meet all job responsibilities of a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
Perform quality assurance (QA).
Direct resources throughout the day.
Ensure compliance with policies and procedures in daily operations.
Implement process changes, quality improvement initiatives and accreditation processes in collaboration with operations.
Serve as a resource for faculty and research coordinators across the enterprise spectrum to support nuclear medicine services.
Qualifications
AS degree.
Minimum 2 years related experience.
Registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification.
Knowledge of Cardiology and General Nuclear Medicine.
Teamwork, leadership, critical thinking, time management, attention to detail, high‑touch patient experience, composure in high stress, excellent communication, flexibility, ability to work in a teaching environment, manage competing priorities, radiation safety.
Preferred: Five years of Nuclear Medicine experience.
Preferred Education/Experience: Five years of Nuclear Medicine experience.
