The Opportunity The Technical Account Manager is the primary liaison for our key customers, ensuring their successful adoption, implementation, and ongoing optimization of the Union Cloud platform and Flyte. Leveraging deep expertise in AI workflows, data pipelines, and cloud environments, you will guide customers through complex integrations, provide training, troubleshoot challenges, drive product utilization, and translate evolving business needs into actionable insights for our product and engineering teams. Your strong cross‑functional relationship skills and proactive solutions will be pivotal in driving customer retention and expanding our platform’s value within their AI and data ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities
Own and drive strategic account plans focused on adoption milestones, usage expansion, and revenue growth in a land‑and‑expand model.
Partner with internal technical teams to help customers design and optimize workflows for production‑grade AI systems.
Own end‑to‑end customer outcomes and value from Union. Guide customers through onboarding and integration, troubleshoot challenges, drive product utilization, and provide timely, effective support to resolve complex issues.
Translate real‑world challenges from customer environments into actionable feedback for our product and engineering teams.
Track customer health, identify signs of friction or opportunity, and develop engagement strategies across both technical and executive stakeholders.
Drive renewals and commercial growth by aligning our product capabilities with evolving customer needs and identifying upsell or cross‑sell pathways.
Facilitate technical enablement content creation—reference architectures, debugging guides, cookbooks, and tutorials—to scale your impact.
Lead customer touchpoints such as roadmap sessions, architecture reviews, QBRs, and executive briefings to ensure we remain aligned with customer goals and value realization.
Serve as the internal voice of the customer in planning, prioritization, and go‑to‑market alignment.
Work in‑office (Seattle/Bellevue).
About You
5+ years of experience in a technical role such as Solutions Engineer, Technical Account Manager, Solutions Architect, or ML/Data Engineer within a B2B devtools or platforms.
Demonstrated experience leading architecture discussions and business reviews with enterprise engineering and product teams; able to both drive technical and commercial outcomes.
Design‑ and architecture‑level understanding of systems involving data processing, model training, serving, or monitoring.
Experience in MLOps/LLMOps, machine learning pipelines, and data orchestration tools.
Proficiency in Python, or strong desire to learn given its prevalence in data science.
Proven track record of developing and executing account plans focused on growth through adoption, usage expansion, and product‑led revenue—especially in a land‑and‑expand motion.
Clear, concise communication with hands‑on users and executive sponsors; ability to tailor messaging for both audiences.
Curiosity, proactivity, self‑direction, and a willingness to experiment.
Ability to build trusted relationships quickly and drive customer success.
Bonus: Contribution to or participation in relevant AI or MLOps open‑source communities, forums, or customer advocacy programs.
Nice to Have
Direct experience with Flyte (open‑source or Union).
Experience working with large enterprise customers.
Prior experience at a startup or fast‑growing tech company.
Experience in pre‑sales or post‑sales technical consulting.
