About the Role Our Environmental Engineering & Science team works on a wide range of projects, from groundwater monitoring and contaminated site investigations to environmental compliance and hazardous materials (hazmat) assessments for large‑scale projects. We are seeking a mid‑level Hydrogeologist to join our growing Oregon/Idaho team, based out of Portland, OR, with flexibility for the right candidate to sit in Boise, ID. This is an excellent opportunity for a hydrogeologist who has strong analysis and report development skills, is detail‑oriented, and thrives in a collaborative, purpose‑driven environment.
Responsibilities
Design and implement sampling programs for groundwater, soil, and other environmental media.
Analyze and interpret hydrogeologic data and prepare clear, accurate technical reports.
Support hazardous materials (hazmat) assessments for large‑scale NEPA analyses, such as corridor studies, Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments, and similar.
Implement programmatic services for long‑term stormwater and groundwater compliance monitoring to meet regulatory drivers in Oregon, Washington, and Idaho.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
5+ years of relevant experience in hydrogeologic assessments, contaminated site investigations, or similar aspects of environmental consulting. Oregon or Idaho professional licensure (or ability to obtain within 6 months) preferred.
Experience with groundwater monitoring, soil sampling, or hazmat‑related NEPA or environmental review work.
An interest in development and implementation of sampling programs to meet project‑specific goals.
Compensation Information Base salary for this position is in the range of $80,000–$115,000, depending on qualifications and location. Compensation is determined by factors such as education, experience, location, and role. As employee‑owners, we are eligible for performance‑based bonuses and our salaries are reviewed annually. Our compensation structure prioritizes transparency and internal pay equity.
