Overview The Autonomous Driving Team is seeking a highly motivated and passionate System Integration Engineer to play a crucial role in integrating our cutting‑edge AD/ADAS software and hardware into our vehicles. This exciting opportunity involves collaborating on innovative technologies in our upcoming vehicles, including over‑the‑air updates.

In this role, you will focus on bringing our next‑generation prototype vehicles to life. A key responsibility will be the installation of various ECU versions, sensors, and software on these vehicles. Your ability to quickly identify and resolve issues will be essential to maintaining the platform stability and smooth operation of our development fleet.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

Perform hardware and firmware integration for the next generation prototypes and fleet vehicles on development PCs and ECUs

Perform and participate sensor calibration as well as the validation of the calibration result

System debugging during integration and deployment of interfaces and connections (Ethernet, SW Interfaces, Sensor connections, …) and root cause analysis prototypes using automotive debugging tools

Develop tools on our Development-PC in the car to support development and early integration

Qualifications

Minimum level of education required and required field of study: Degree in Computer Science, Automotive Engineering, Physics, Electrical or related fields

Experience in the development or validation of embedded systems in the automotive or consumer electronics industries

Advanced analytical problem‑solving skills, ability to identify and surface issues within complex hardware/software systems

Experience with E/E integration and signal tracing as well as automotive communication protocols (CAN, FlexRay, Ethernet, MOST, …)

Experience with tools to debug automotive interfaces (e.g. Vector Tools, CANoe, …)

Advanced coding skills in console application script languages (Python, bash, ansible, bazel, …)

Good communication skills, ability to formulate thoughts and ideas precisely in verbal and written form

Ability to work in a dynamic environment with changing boundary conditions

Minimum years of experience required (Non‑exempt positions only): Bachelors + 3 years / Masters + 1 year

Is driving a vehicle required for this position: Yes

Physical requirements of this position: Ability to sit in vehicle for long periods of time; ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer
