Mechanical Design Engineer

for a

contract-to-permanent

position with a leading developer and manufacturer of high-fidelity simulated training components used in military and commercial flight simulators. If you are passionate about shaping the world we live in and ready to reengineer your future, trust the experts at hiring experts.

Regular on-site attendance in Euless, TX

(relocation assistance is not available), and due to the nature of the work and customers supported, U.S. citizenship is required.

Overview This company, headquartered in Euless, TX, designs and manufactures precision-engineered simulated instruments, control panels, and multifunction displays used by flight training organizations and simulator manufacturers worldwide. Since 1978, their products have supported the aviation industry by replicating authentic cockpit systems used in both commercial and military training environments.

The

Mechanical Design Engineer

will design complex, multi-part mechanical assemblies that support the development of simulated gauges, control panels, and LCD display components. This individual will work closely with project management, engineering, and manufacturing teams to deliver innovative and reliable mechanical solutions that meet customer and industry specifications.

Responsibilities

Design new and existing products based on design criteria defined by Project Management, Sales, and Customer Specifications.

Create detailed part, assembly, and drawing files using SolidWorks.

Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and engineering documents.

Make design adjustments and revisions as directed by engineers or project leads.

Collaborate with clients, engineers, procurement, and manufacturing to ensure design intent and feasibility.

Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical design challenges with minimal supervision.

Maintain a high degree of initiative and a strong sense of urgency in meeting project deadlines.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical education (Associate’s or Trade School) with relevant design experience.

2+ years of hands‑on SolidWorks or comparable 3D CAD experience designing complex multi‑component assemblies.

Strong written, verbal, mathematical, and interpersonal skills.

Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

Proficiency in using CAD and related design tools.

Self‑motivated, independent worker with effective communication and collaboration skills.

Ability and willingness to work on‑site daily at the Euless, TX facility (relocation not provided).

U.S. citizenship required due to the nature of the company’s products and customers.
