Fund Accountant / Senior Fund Accountant
Full‑time position in Dallas, TX. Salary range: $112,000 – $159,000.
Experienced and detail‑oriented
Fund Accountant or Senior Fund Accountant
required to join a Dallas‑based finance team. Responsible for accounting, reporting, and analysis of private credit, lending, and other alternative investment funds.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review
monthly, quarterly, and annual fund financial statements , including NAV calculations and investor reporting.
Maintain
general ledger and investment books and records
for multiple entities and fund structures.
Account for
credit and lending transactions , including interest income accruals, amortization of loan fees, and valuation adjustments.
Support
capital activity processing
(subscriptions, redemptions, distributions, and transfers).
Collaborate with
external administrators, auditors, and custodians
to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
Analyze fund performance and reconcile discrepancies across systems and counterparties.
Prepare and review
management reports
and assist in
internal controls and compliance testing .
Participate in
system enhancements, process improvements , and new fund launches.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or progress toward CPA preferred).
3‑7 years of experience in fund accounting, ideally within
private credit, direct lending, or alternative asset management .
Solid understanding of
loan structures, credit facilities, interest calculations , and valuation methodologies.
Strong knowledge of
GAAP
and familiarity with
investment company accounting principles .
Proficiency in
Excel
and accounting systems (e.g., Investran, Geneva, or similar).
Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a
fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment .
Preferred Experience
Experience with closed‑end and open‑end fund structures.
Familiarity with
CLOs, private debt funds, or middle‑market lending .
Exposure to
fund administration, audit, or public accounting
environments.
