Reliability Engineer – Clarios, Tampa, FL This role reports to the Maintenance Engineering Manager within the Refining Department. It’s a hands‑on, high‑impact position focused on improving equipment reliability, reducing downtime, and supporting capital projects from concept through commissioning.

What You Will Do

Provide technical expertise to troubleshoot day‑to‑day equipment malfunctions and deliver engineered solutions that minimize downtime.

Lead small capital projects, managing scope, budget, and startup support within schedule.

Own reliability performance for assigned plant areas, proactively addressing issues along the P‑F curve.

Conduct cost‑benefit analyses to guide repair, replacement, or redesign decisions with minimal operational impact.

Develop and maintain KPI metrics, ensuring data accuracy and actionable insights for performance tracking.

Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and throughput through routine analysis and cross‑functional collaboration.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field).

3+ years of engineering experience in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment.

Strong mechanical aptitude with hands‑on troubleshooting and maintenance experience.

Proven background in reliability engineering and equipment performance optimization.

Preferred

Experience managing small capital projects from design through commissioning.

Familiarity with MRO supplier evaluation and technical maintenance service providers.

Proficiency in maintaining and updating technical documentation and engineering drawings.
