Overview
MyUS is seeking a Human Resources Director with strong knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and organizational development. Requires strong Labour Law knowledge and experience across multiple states (Florida, California, Illinois, and Ohio). The Human Resources Director will review and update local policies in accordance with the global HR delegation of authority. Key activities include planning, leading, directing, developing, and coordinating activities and staff of the HR department, ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organization’s mission and talent strategy. This role is responsible for driving talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, policy, process and system compliance, and overall workforce development.
Responsibilities
Partner with the Aramex Global HR Centre of Excellence (COE) team and business stakeholders to support engagement and cultural development.
Provide guidance on organizational design, workforce planning, and succession management.
Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and employees on HR-related matters.
Evaluate and negotiate benefit plans that support employee well-being.
Support managers in goal setting, coaching, and performance management cycles.
Collaborate with senior leadership to understand the organization’s goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
Develop, review and implement policies in local compliance with Aramex Global policies under the HR Delegation of Authority (DOA).
Review and update HR processes regularly to ensure efficient and effective work within the HR team and with stakeholders.
Align annual training with the Learning and Development Global COE to leverage training opportunities for employee development.
Facilitate Aramex’s global engagement surveys to support culture evolution, compliance, and strategy needs.
Ensure training of the HR Team and business stakeholders regarding the HR DOA to ensure compliance with governance practices.
Administer or oversee human resource programs including compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, performance and talent management, productivity, recognition, morale, health and safety, and training and development.
Conduct research and analysis of organizational trends using HRIS or talent management system data.
Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; update policies to maintain compliance.
Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in HR, talent management, and employment law; communicate changes to upper management.
Develop and implement the departmental budget.
Ensure safety standards and compliance with company, local, state, and federal guidelines.
Ensure attendance and completion of compliance training by all employees to uphold policy adherence.
Role model exemplary customer service and maintain a positive attitude.
Special projects and other responsibilities may be assigned by Management.
Management Responsibilities
Recruit, interview, hire, and train new staff in the department.
Oversee the daily workflow of the department.
Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations.
Handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
Ensure accurate and compliant processing of payroll.
Support the wider Aramex US HR Regional team as required.
Required Experience And Skills
Proven ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
Strong knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and organizational development.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Experience working in manufacturing and logistics is preferred.
At least seven years of HR management experience, with at least 3 years in leadership/HR team management.
Strong Labour Law knowledge across multiple states (Florida, California, Illinois, Ohio).
SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly preferred.
Competencies
Ability to adapt to organizational and employee needs.
Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate.
Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS/talent management systems.
Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with ADA, FMLA and other standards.
Strong attention to detail and clear communication abilities.
Physical Activity & Requirements
Talking: conveying ideas clearly and audibly.
Hearing: perceiving sounds at normal levels with or without correction.
Visually: close visual acuity for data analysis, reading, and inspection.
Repetitive motion: substantial movements of wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

Working Environment
Typical office environment with optional exposure to warehouse conditions (temperature fluctuations, noise, and proximity to machinery).
