APRN (Advanced Practice Registered Nurse) at Claremedica
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS The Nurse Practitioner is a licensed independent practitioner responsible for managing health problems and coordinating care for clinic patients in accordance with State and Federal rules and regulations and nursing standards of care. Clinical management is conducted with other health care team members and follows a protocol with a licensed medical doctor.
Duties and Responsibilities
Perform age-appropriate history and physical examination for clinic patients.
Order and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic tests appropriate to patient age.
Prescribe pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities.
Implement interventions to support patient physiological stability, including first assisting role.
Monitor the effectiveness of interventions.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members and make referrals as needed.
Facilitate staff, patient, and family decision making with educational tools and engagement.
Supervisory Responsibilities Not applicable.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program.
Current Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) licensure.
Current provider card in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (preferred).
Current Nurse Practitioner certification in Family Medicine (preferred).
Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Working Conditions General office working conditions.
Physical Demands Stand, walk, sit, use hands for handling objects, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Occasionally lift or move up to 15 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, focus adjustment. Frequent travel up to several hours of driving per day, including sales presentations.
Work Environment Noise level usually moderate.
Travel Primarily local, with some out-of-area and overnight travel possible.
Safety Hazard Minimal hazards.
