Located in the heart of St. Louis, Missouri, McCallum Place offers specialized, comprehensive treatment for individuals struggling with eating disorders such as anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, ARFID, and other co-occurring psychiatric conditions. We provide a full continuum of care, including 24/7 residential treatment, partial hospitalization (PHP), and intensive outpatient (IOP) programs, all supported by a multidisciplinary team. Our approach integrates medical, psychiatric, nutritional, and therapeutic services in one coordinated setting, helping individuals restore both physical and emotional wellness. Your Impact as Director of Nursing
As the Director of Nursing, you’ll lead our clinical team with compassion, accountability, and vision. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring our patients receive the highest quality care while fostering a supportive and growth-focused environment for your nursing staff. What You Bring to the Table
Active RN license (Missouri or compact state) Proven leadership experience in behavioral health, eating disorder, or psychiatric nursing Clinical expertise in managing complex medical and psychiatric needs Passion for supporting patients through recovery in a collaborative team setting Strong communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills Responsibilities
Lead and set the strategic direction for nursing care delivery. Supervise and support nursing staff, ensuring high performance and development. Collaborate across departments to meet patient needs and resolve concerns. Manage staffing based on patient acuity and census changes. Ensure compliance with clinical, regulatory, and quality standards. Oversee nursing operations, including budgeting, hiring, training, and performance management. Drive a culture focused on safety, service, and continuous improvement. Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree or higher strongly preferred. Current registered nursing license in State of facility required. 6+ years’ experience as a registered nurse preferred. 3 years of registered nursing experience required. Two years of experience in behavioral health as a Registered Nurse preferred. One year experience in behavioral health/psychiatric/addiction recovery environment (inpatient or outpatient) or relatable experience required. Prior DON or Nurse Manager experience preferred. Two years of progressive leadership or management experience required.
