Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in related discipline with professional engineering experience with 2+ years of related professional experience or related Master's degree and no experience required. Willingness to learn security engineering concepts as they relate to the Security+ or CISSP certification. Familiar with generating and updating Cyber process improvement documentation; usage of metrics to pinpoint areas where increased efficiency would be beneficial. The Work This Cybersecurity Systems Engineering position supports multiple programs within the Integrated Warfare Systems & Sensors (IWSS) Line of Business (LOB). You will play a key role in evaluating, securing, and certifying critical infrastructure that supports national defense missions. Key responsibilities include: Evaluating Linux and Windows computing platforms, network designs, and devices for cybersecurity vulnerabilities. Performing vulnerability management and risk analysis. Conducting security assessments on identified vulnerabilities and collaborating with engineering teams to prioritize remediation. Managing classified documentation transfers to customers for risk collaboration and review. Supporting onboarding efforts by creating and refining team documentation and workflow processes. Participating in site visits to support installations, testing, and meetings across the continental U.S. Conducting testing at Lockheed Martin sites and the Combat System Engineering Development Site (CSEDS). The following are appreciated but not required: Experience spearheading a software baseline as a Cyber team leader responsible for driving security-based tasking to completion and collaborating with both internal (i.e., program management) and external (i.e., accreditor) on the status of progress. Demonstrated ability to flow timely information between the team and the customer is crucial. Security+ or CISSP certification. Understanding of Unix/Linux file system and command line. Knowledge of or experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF). Vulnerability analysis using cyber security tools (e.g., ACAS, Nessus, SCAP, SCC, eMass, STIG Viewer). Demonstrated technical or project leadership Proven communication skills across an organization (e.g., program review presentations, team meetings, customer meetings) Prior experience as a Scrum Master to facilitate the team with executing through tracked Jira tasks – current, backlogged and blockers Other Important Information
