Execute black‑box and white‑box manual testing of embedded firmware for gas metering devices Analyze and interpret C/C++ embedded code to support white‑box test development Monitor signal behavior and identify root causes of firmware bugs and anomalies Collaborate with firmware developers to validate functionality and resolve issues Drive the transition from manual test procedures to automated test frameworks using Python and scripting tools Operate test equipment and microcontroller development environments to simulate real‑world conditions Document test plans, results, and defect reports in compliance with engineering standards Required Skills & Experience
Proficiency in Embedded C and C++ for firmware analysis and test development Hands‑on experience with black‑box and white‑box testing methodologies Familiarity with embedded systems, microcontrollers, and firmware validation Working knowledge of Linux environments and scripting for test automation Experience with I2C communication protocols and test instrumentation Strong debugging and signal analysis skills Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (Associate degree with programming certification will also be considered) Experience testing firmware on STMicroelectronics microcontrollers Python scripting for automation and white‑box test execution Use of test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.) for black‑box validation Experience Level
Intermediate – 2 to 5 years of relevant experience preferred Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
