Project Manager, Women's College Coalition, President's Office The Women's College Coalition seeks an energetic, entrepreneurial and strategic events planner to support the Coalition in carrying out a series of convenings. Founded in 1972, the Coalition (WCC), a 501c3 organization, is an association of over thirty women's colleges and universities in the United States and Canada. Its mission is to transform the world through the education and success of women and girls. WCC serves its members by conducting collaborative research; introducing women and their families to women\'s colleges through admissions advocacy programs; and bringing together women\'s college leaders to collaborate and to engage the issues in higher education today.

Working under the guidance of the Executive Director, the Project Consultant plans and executes large, complex events with support from the Communications and Project Manager. This position plans and executes events designed to enhance collaboration and partnership among Women\'s College Coalition member presidents and other Cabinet-level leaders.

This position is generously supported by a grant from the Mellon Foundation.

Position Hourly Rate: $35.00 - $50.00

Hiring salary can be above the posted pay range if candidate\'s qualifications are determined to be above the minimum requirements of the position description.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Plan, Coordinate, and Execute Convenings

Researches, proposes, and secures possible venues for functions based on budget, geography, accessibility, aesthetic appeal, and availability.

Works with Women\'s College Coalition staff and board on programming. Schedule, coordinate, and manage Program Committee Meetings. Assist with identifying and communicating with speakers.

Identifies and manages contracted services and vendors, including caterers, florists, parking services, photography, etc.

Creates event marketing and program materials for attendees.

Prepares and provides regular communication updates to Executive Director, WCC staff and board members, and other key stakeholders.

Travels to events to provide on-site support and management, working with the Executive Director, Communications, and Project Manager, and other key partners.

Determines benchmarks for success prior to each assigned event, evaluate their effectiveness after the event, and incorporate improvements in future planning.

Maintains master event files and documentation to aid in planning and executing future events.

Assists with Executive Director in grant reporting.

Manage Event Finances

In coordination with the Executive Director, develops and manages budgets for assigned events.

Negotiates all financial commitments for delivery of products and services by outside vendors for assigned events.

Verifies invoices and arrange for payment of approved event expenses.

In partnership with the Executive Director, review the events budget each month.

Job Requirements:

Knowledge:

Strong professional project coordination experience with a proven record of success working independently with limited supervision.

Ability to meet the schedule requirements listed above and travel and attend convenings in various US cities.

Experience and a desire to communicate and collaborate with a small team and contribute to the organization\'s mission.

Abilities and Skills:

Skills and experience in the following areas: budget management, graphic design, program evaluation, grant reporting, and higher education.

Skilled communicator and experience working with diverse stakeholders, including executive-level administrators and officials.

Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple job responsibilities simultaneously.

Education:

Bachelor\'s degree.

Preferred: Graduate degree preferred

Experience:

Experience working for a non-profit and/ or in higher education.
