Job Description As a Senior Manager within the Global Sourcing – Direct Materials Team, you will lead commodity managers in developing and executing sourcing strategies that optimize cost, quality, delivery, and supply continuity. This role is pivotal in maintaining a resilient and ethical supply chain and driving enterprise-wide continuous improvement initiatives. You will report to the Director of Strategic Sourcing.
Location:
Milwaukee, WI or Mayfield Heights, OH (Hybrid: Mon, Tue, Thu in-office)
Key Responsibilities
Commodity Strategy & Execution: Lead strategic sourcing initiatives across assigned commodities. Collaborate cross‑functionally to align strategies with business needs and market trends.
Supplier Management: Oversee supplier performance and conduct regular business reviews. Drive improvements in key sourcing KPIs and support global manufacturing operations.
Talent Development: Mentor and develop sourcing professionals. Promote knowledge sharing and best practices across global teams.
Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement sourcing best practices. Lead cross‑functional projects to optimize component supply chain design and achieve year‑over‑year savings. Lead the team through the phases: Ideate → Incubate → Pilot → Debug → Scale.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies and applicable regulations, including ISO standards and environmental, health, and safety requirements.
The Essentials - You Will Have
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. This position does not sponsor visas.
Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have
Master's degree in a relevant field.
Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Operations.
3+ years of direct people management experience.
5+ years in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, contracting, and cross‑functional leadership.
Experience in engineering, NPI, manufacturing, procurement, or logistics.
Background in industrial or technology sectors.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
International supplier management experience (Mexico, Asia, Europe).
