About Service & Engagement Advocates of guest experience who welcome, thank, and exceed expectations by focusing on interaction and recovery. They support in‑store and digital services, ensuring quick and easy shopping at check‑lane and during guest services, gift registry, pick‑up and drive‑up.
Key Skills & Experience
Guest service fundamentals, building a guest‑first team culture, and driving loyalty programs
Guest engagement; problem solving and resolution
Retail business fundamentals: department sales trends, inventory management, guest patterns, pricing and promotions
Planning department workload and delivering service and sales goals
Leading hourly team members, interviewing, coaching, evaluating, and retaining talent
Typical Responsibilities
Demonstrate inclusivity and create equitable experiences
Lead a team of Guest Advocates, Service Advocates, and Front of Store Attendants to exceed service expectations
Execute onboarding and development to close skill gaps
Analyze sales goals and guest insights to plan workload and meet store goals
Support Target Loyalty Programs and educate team members
Follow up on training, support continuous education, and drive proficiency
Engage in development conversations at critical touchpoints
Recognize and appreciate team, reinforce positive behaviors
Maintain accountability through clear expectations and performance management
De‑escalate guest concerns and resolve issues promptly
Keep team updated on promotions, launches, and events
Evaluate candidates and build a guest‑centric team
Work a schedule aligning to guest and business needs, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts
Assist with pick‑up and drive‑up orders and ensure compliance with beverage laws
Model ethical conduct and safety culture, identifying hazards and assisting in incidents
Participate in physical security processes
Support merchandise protection strategies, ordering, storage, and best‑practice application
Address store emergency and compliance needs
Perform other duties as required by business needs

Required Skills
High school diploma or equivalent
At least 18 years of age
Previous retail experience preferred
Ability to lead and hold others accountable
Communicative on multiple devices and operating handheld scanners and other technology
Independent workload management and task prioritization
Welcoming and helpful attitude
Effective communication skills
Maintain focus and composure in a fast‑paced environment, completing multiple tasks within timeframes

Access all areas of the building to respond to issues
Interpret instructions, reports, and information
Accurately handle cash register operations and cash transactions
Efficiently and safely handle merchandise, lifting up to 44 pounds without assistance
Climb ladders as needed
Reliable attendance on flexible schedule
Work in varying temperatures, humidity while performing duties such as drive‑up and carryout
Remain mobile for entire shift
