We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead and oversee all quality assurance and compliance activities for our regulated CPG business. The ideal candidate has worked in a highly regulated industry such as food quality, nutraceutical, or pharmaceutical manufacturing, with hands‑on experience implementing and maintaining SQF, ISO, or other GFSI‑recognized quality systems. This individual will manage internal quality programs, conduct supplier and vendor audits, and ensure adherence to all applicable regulatory and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and maintain the company’s quality management system (QMS) to ensure compliance with SQF, ISO, and regulatory standards.
Work with in‑house and third‑party testing labs to support product quality through analytical laboratory analysis.
Develop, implement, and monitor quality policies, SOPs, and process controls across production and supply chain functions.
Conduct internal and external audits, including supplier and co‑manufacturer assessments, to verify compliance and drive continuous improvement.
Partner with suppliers and vendors to ensure consistent quality and adherence to specifications and regulatory requirements.
Manage CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) programs and lead root cause investigations.
Support new product development and commercialization by ensuring quality standards are met from formulation through finished goods.
Provide training and guidance to cross‑functional teams on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
Maintain documentation and prepare reports for regulatory inspections, customer audits, and internal reviews.
Collaborate with R&D, Operations, and Supply Chain to implement process improvements and uphold product integrity.
Stay current on industry regulations, standards, and best practices related to FDA, GMP, HACCP, and GFSI frameworks.
Qualifications
Minimum 5–8 years of quality management experience in a regulated CPG, food, nutraceutical, or pharmaceutical environment.
Strong knowledge of SQF, ISO 9001, HACCP, GMP, and other relevant quality systems.
Experience leading internal and supplier audits; SQF Practitioner or PCQI certification preferred.
Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with suppliers, co‑manufacturers, and cross‑functional teams.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to travel up to 25–40% to suppliers, co‑mans, and manufacturing sites as needed.
