RELOCATION ASSISTANCE: Relocation assistance may be available. TRAVEL: Yes, 10% of the time. This is an entry-level Software Engineer – Level 1 role located at our Morrisville, NC site. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work and will follow a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off. Responsibilities Design, develop, document, test and debug applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.

Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.

Determine computer user needs: analyze system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepare operating instructions; design and develop compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.

Ensure software standards are met.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications (must have/required to be considered):

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret (TS)/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance [TS/SCI] which requires US Citizenship (clearance not required to start).

Level 1 : (entry-level/Associate)

Bachelor’s degree with 0 years of software development experience (an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a completed Bachelor’s).

Knowledge of C, C++, and Python.

Knowledge of databases.

Knowledge of Linux and Windows environments.

Knowledge of engineering analysis and management.

Preferred Qualifications (not required, but nice to have):

STEM degree.

Experience with MATLAB.

Experience with SolidWorks.

Primary Level Salary Range: $67,300.00 - $100,900.00. The salary range is a general guideline; base offers consider factors such as responsibilities, candidate experience, education, skills, and market conditions. Eligible employees may receive overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses.
