You will drive field data acquisition in a small, independent crew using cutting‑edge geospatial technology.

Responsibilities

Lead and efficiently operate the field crew, ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures, health and safety standards, and company policies.

Accurately collect, process, and record critical spatial data for a variety of projects, including boundary and ALTA/NSPS land title surveys, topographic and route surveys, photo‑control surveys, and construction layout.

Manage crew schedules, daily assignments, and on‑site logistics.

Assist with data processing, quality control, and the translation of digital designs into buildable points.

Maintain and calibrate equipment such as robotic total stations, terrestrial scanners/LiDAR, advanced GPS receivers, and 3‑D scanning or drone systems.

Communicate results and coordinate with a supervising Professional Surveyor and project stakeholders.

Qualifications

5+ years of professional survey experience; degree in GIS, Geomatics, Construction Management, or related field is preferred.

Proficient in Trimble geospatial equipment and software (GPS, robotic total stations, Trimble Access and TBC), with additional experience in 3‑D scanning or drone technology a plus.

Strong knowledge of GIS principles and the ability to develop and maintain base maps.

Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to exercise independent judgment in field conditions.

Solid understanding of land surveying principles, civil engineering concepts, and construction specifications.

Valid driver’s license and willingness to work outdoors in varied weather and terrain.

Experience operating motorized equipment and maintaining special company gear.

Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with office personnel.

The posting range for this position is $69,768 - $87,210 based on experience and location.
