Job Summary RTX Corporation (Raytheon) seeks an experienced Network Administrator (P2 level) to support classified networks at the El Segundo facility. The role requires a student of LAN/WAN technologies, hands‑on experience with Cisco hardware, and strong Information Assurance compliance knowledge.
Responsibilities
Configure, manage, and upgrade Cisco switches, routers, ASAs, and Next‑Generation IPS (Firepower).
Ensure Information Assurance compliance for all network hardware/software; remediate IAVAM and DISA STIGs.
Maintain security and performance standards per NISPOM, RMF, DISA STIGs, NIST, and related directives.
Monitor system performance and infrastructure health to ensure high reliability.
Qualifications – Must Have
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (minimum 2 years of direct experience or 6 years without a degree).
Active, transferable U.S. Top‑Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship.
Proficiency in LAN/WAN, routers, switches, and related network hardware.
Preferred Qualifications
Background with Type‑1 HAIPE encryptors and VPN technologies (IPSec, GRE, L2TP, DMVPN).
Experience with TACACS/RADIUS, IDS/IPS, host‑based security, DMZ design, and ACL implementation.
Knowledge of SolarWinds, Visio, SNMP‑based network management, and vulnerability scanning tools (ACAS, SCAP, Nessus).
CCNA certification (highly desired) and Security+ certification within six months of hire.
Experience configuring Palo Alto firewalls and knowledge of LAN/WAN diagramming.
Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.
Benefits and Compensation Salary range: $72,000 – $144,000 USD. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, paid time off, and holidays. Additional annual incentive plans may apply. Relocation eligibility applies for qualified candidates.
