The primary responsibility of this role is to manage the lifecycle of contracts across the company and support the Procurement department’s objective to implement procurement strategies to reduce cost and mitigate risk for the business.
Responsibilities
Support the development and execution of contractual documents including Non‑Disclosure Agreements, Master Service Agreements, Statements of Work and other agreements as necessary to support Vendor, Client Partnerships and business needs.
Manage complete contract lifecycle from initiation through execution and renewal, ensuring all necessary approvals are obtained in a timely manner.
Identify and flag critical terms including indemnification clauses, liability provisions, and risk factors.
Provide clear recommendations on contract terms and business implications.
Build and maintain close relationships with business departments and vendor partners to deliver comprehensive cross‑enterprise process improvement solutions.
Communicate and educate business departments and vendors on current procurement policies and procedures.
Develop strategies for cost reduction and lead negotiations of all fees, rates, subsidies and any other associated costs.
Manage req to PO process for assigned commodities.
Maintain and manage the contract database, ensuring all contracts are accurately recorded, updated and easily accessible.
Required Skills and Abilities
Extensive knowledge of the principles, practices and procedures of contract administration and procurement, laws and contract funding procedures.
Demonstrable experience in drafting, reviewing, negotiating and redlining contracts.
Ability to manage multiple tasks of varying complexities and successfully set priorities to meet time‑bound deliverables.
Exceptional analytical, organizational, presentation and interpersonal skills with applied solid judgment and strategic thinking.
Demonstrated collaboration, communication (written and verbal) and influencing skills.
Demonstrated negotiation experience.
Strong knowledge of contract process.
Strong Excel skills with the ability to manipulate data.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or similar (required).
6+ years of procurement and/or comprehensive contract management experience.
Certified professional purchasing certification a plus.
Proven track record working with diverse contract types in a corporate environment.
Experience with vendor agreements, technology contracts and procurement arrangements.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, DocuSign and contract management systems; ERP and risk analysis tool experience a plus.
