Job Title Seasonal Tax Professional (Tax Specialist)
Responsibilities
Conduct tax interviews with clients face‑to‑face and via virtual tools (video, phone, chat, email).
Prepare complete and accurate tax returns for individuals, trusts and partnerships.
Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services.
Provide clients with IRS support and tax notice services as required.
Assist with audit representation and tax planning.
Mentor and support teammates.
Complete the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
CPA or Enrolled Agent certification (preferred).
5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or tax.
Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership).
Experience conducting virtual tax interviews.
Experience with tax planning and audit support.
Comfort working with virtual tools (video, phone, chat).
Excellent communication skills in person, by phone, and in writing.
Must meet IRS and applicable state requirements.
High school diploma or equivalent (required).
