Position Summary
This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with quality and food safety requirements and will work directly with QA management.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Job is an individual contributor.
Job has no direct reports.
Review QA/HACCP paperwork used in all production departments and fill it out correctly.
Interact and communicate with various team members in management, QA, production as well as government officials and 3rd‑party contractors.
Perform all QA technician responsibilities for routine quality checks and audits on production, the dock, and the facility.
Develop and maintain databases as needed.
Qualified to perform QA sampling and testing methods.
Understand the processes and methods involved in food production.
Implement appropriate safety procedures; achieved through education, training, use of protective equipment, and by following safety policies, regulations, standards, and laws.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience & Skills
0‑1 years of experience in a related field is preferred.
Proficiency in QA transactions, in SAP, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Understanding of GMPs, SSOPs, and HACCP principles.
Preferred Education
High School Diploma and/or equivalent work experience is required.
Work Environment
Work is generally performed within a business professional office environment, with standard office equipment available.
Work conditions are typical of an office & plant environment.
This role does not require any domestic travel.
Required to wear extensive GMP uniforms including hairnet, gloves, lab coats, and rubber boots; personal protective equipment such as cut‑resistant gloves, bump caps, steel mesh gloves is mandatory.
Position requires physical agility to perform continuous lifting up to 15 pounds, bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, stretching/reaching, use of hands or fingers, talk, hear, feel objects, tools, controls and standing/walking on concrete flooring.
Position requires the ability to stand and walk for the duration of work hours.
