Position Title: Art History Adjunct (Spring/Summer 2026)

Job Code: 01013. FLSA Exempt. Part‑time. Telework options subject to change.
Germanna Community College is a two‑year public institution of higher education in the Virginia Community College System. As a comprehensive community college, Germanna provides quality, accessible, and affordable educational opportunities for the residents of the City of Fredericksburg and the counties of Caroline, Culpeper, King George, Madison, Orange, Spotsylvania and Stafford.
Responsibilities
Effectively plan and teach courses in a classroom environment to students with a variety of academic backgrounds and experiences.
Teach both in‑person and online courses.
May be required to perform other duties as assigned, including assistance in emergency situations.
Assist the agency or state government in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
Participate in all campus locations as required.
Qualifications
Masters degree in Art History or a Masters degree with 18 graduate credit hours in Art History.
Ability to teach in person and online.
Two years of teaching experience.
Additional Considerations
Operation of a State Vehicle.
No supervised employees.
No required travel.
