Job Description BGIS Integrated Technical Services (BGIS ITS) is a service‑oriented company with over 500 commercial field technicians in the United States and more than 7,000 globally. We deliver exceptional customer experiences and provide ongoing training and support to our technicians. As a Commercial HVAC Technician, you will conduct scheduled maintenance, service requests, repairs, and equipment changeouts while working with a support team that includes dispatchers, coordinators, supervisors, and technical resources.
Primary Responsibilities
Conduct scheduled maintenance, service requests, repairs, and equipment changeouts.
Work with dispatchers, coordinators, supervisors, and technical resources.
Be equipped with a fully stocked service van, iPad, iPhone, and necessary PPE.
Respond to emergency service requests.
Participate in and assist with facility‑related projects.
Qualifications
At least 3–6 years of HVAC experience with demonstrated experience in Commercial HVAC.
Position is performed remotely; may require travel to client locations for training, meetings, and in‑person events.
Responsible for adhering to established processes and practices that comply with internal and external requirements, including environmental, health, safety, security, and fire protection.
Flexibility to work overtime as needed with some travel required.
Physical requirements: climb and descend ladders while carrying up to 30 lbs., lift up to 75 lbs., and maneuver in confined spaces such as crawlspaces and attics.
EPA certification required.
Must be willing to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Must meet enhanced security clearance requirements.
Subject to drug, background, and driver’s license checks.
Skills
Service and install new heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
Service and install new ice machines; routine maintenance on ice machines and refrigeration.
Assess and troubleshoot commercial HVAC to determine required repairs.
Inspect and perform equipment repair and replacements.
Perform routine preventative maintenance and recommend preventative repairs to avoid unplanned downtime.
Respond to emergency service requests.
Provide observations about facility conditions and recommendations for enhancement and repair.
Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
Ability to work on lightweight commercial equipment.
Excellent customer service skills.
Complete paperwork in a timely manner and report work to assignment.
Work with minimal supervision.
Experience with industry software preferable but not required.
Compensation
Competitive hourly pay: $30–$40 per hour.
Flexible rewards: choose one of the following – a $3,500 cash bonus, 40 extra hours of floating holidays, or $3,500 in technical training through our 3&3 Tech Flex Program.
Salary range: $60,000.00–$100,000.00 (approximately, for a full‑time position).
