Position Summary

The Welding Instructor is a part-time faculty position at South Seattle College (SSC). The primary role is to teach a range of welding and fabricating courses, including safety, power tools, various welding techniques, fabrication, print reading, and related topics. The salary range for part-time faculty is $7,110.33 - $10,649.33, adjusted based on credits. Essential Functions

Develop and teach welding and fabricating courses. Potentially teach additional related courses based on background. Collaborate with faculty on program support, materials, and equipment. Assist in curriculum planning and development. Participate in student conferences, curriculum development, and division activities. Required Education, Experience & Abilities

High school diploma At least five years of successful welding and fabricating experience Computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, email WABO Welding certification or equivalent Experience working with diverse student populations Effective communication skills Ability to become an AWS Certified Welding Inspector Ability to obtain Washington State Vocational Certification Preferred Qualifications

Associate or Bachelor of Science Degree Additional welding certifications Experience teaching at a community or technical college Extensive industry experience Experience in collaborative learning and student assessment Physical Setting

Ability to operate tools and equipment Physical ability to lift at least 50 pounds and perform physical tasks Work in various weather conditions and environments Notice of Non-Dis discrimination
