Head JV/C‑Squad Coach – Cristo Rey Jesuit High School
Christo Rey Jesuit High School is seeking a dedicated and motivated Head JV/C‑Squad Coach to support our boys’ volleyball program. The Head Coach will work under the direction of the Activities Director to develop athletes, implement training plans, and foster a positive, competitive, and sportsmanlike environment. This role requires a passion for volleyball, strong leadership skills, and the ability to mentor and motivate high school aged student athletes. This seasonal position will run approximately February to May 2026 (dates to be determined). You will be required to travel to events occasionally and will be paid a biweekly stipend. About the Role
As the Head Coach, you will lead and manage the JV and C‑Squad volleyball teams, focusing on youth mentoring and sports management. Your main objective will be to develop and implement effective coaching strategies to enhance the performance and skills of our athletes. You will also design and implement strength training programs to ensure the physical fitness and well‑being of our athletes, and play a key role in shaping the success and growth of our volleyball program. Minimum Qualifications
Proven experience coaching and mentoring athletes, preferably in a youth sports setting. Strong knowledge of the rules, techniques, and strategies of volleyball. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Ability to work collaboratively with athletes, parents, and coaching staff. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel for meets as needed. Willingness and ability to complete student safety training, pre‑employment criminal background check, and school Code of Conduct. Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Physical Education, or related field. Previous experience playing volleyball at a collegiate level. Certification in strength and conditioning training. Responsibilities
Develop and implement coaching strategies to enhance athletes’ performance and skills. Design and implement strength training programs to ensure athletes’ physical fitness and well‑being. Support the Varsity Head Coach as needed.
