As a valued member of the In-Service Support team, the Maintenance Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring asset reliability and performance. This position is responsible for reviewing and analysing technical documentation, equipment functionality, and performance requirements to develop effective maintenance strategies that uphold asset integrity and support operational objectives. About the Opportunity The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for: Identifying relevant maintenance tasks and defining their characteristics—including required resources, skill level, frequency, and estimated work hours—using analysis methods such as Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) and/or Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM), aligned with system/equipment functional requirements and mission profiles. Producing ILS deliverables including analysis reports, technical manuals, maintenance plans and detailed maintenance work instructions. Analysing the maintenance resource package by conducting resource evaluations and trade-offs to determine the optimal location, personnel, and resources required for each task. Applying engineering judgement to refine tasks in ways that improve vessel availability and reduce life-cycle costs Developing executable planning documents to support maintenance delivery. Documenting maintenance procedures in compliance with relevant safety standards, ensuring clarity and accuracy based on authorised technical data. Performing assigned ILS analysis tasks including logistics support analysis, reliability analysis, spares analysis, maintenance requirements determination and task analysis activities. Assisting in the determination and embodiment process of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) across multiple projects. Supporting the preparation and submission of Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) deliverables to the client, ensuring compliance with project requirements Conducting maintenance investigations to identify deficiencies in current practices and recommend improvements to enhance asset reliability and maintainability. Preparing and submitting comprehensive reports detailing investigation findings and recommendations Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on ILS requirements and liaising with external stakeholders. Requirements Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical, Electrical or equivalent qualification 5+ years relevant experience in maintenance engineering Understanding of the importance and role of data in the logistics program Well-developed oral and written communication skills What We Offer Competitive compensation and benefits package.
