Injection Molding Process Engineer
Duration:
12 Months
Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Injection Molding Process Engineer to support and optimize injection molding operations. The role focuses on improving efficiency, reducing scrap and setup times, performing validations, and driving continuous improvement in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Optimize injection molding processes using
Scientific Molding
and
Design of Experiments (DOE) .
Troubleshoot molding equipment and manufacturing processes to minimize defects.
Operate and maintain
hydraulic/electric presses, molds, and related equipment
(hoppers, blenders, dryers, hot runners).
Work with common plastics such as
Polypropylene, Polycarbonate, ABS, and Nylon .
Conduct
process validations, root cause analysis, and process capability studies .
Develop and maintain
work instructions, SOPs, and setup procedures .
Improve workflow, equipment layout, and overall manufacturing efficiency.
Collaborate with engineering, production, and customers on continuous improvement projects.
Participate in
PFMEA, control plans, and technical documentation .
Preferred Qualifications
RJG Master Molder Certification
or equivalent.
Experience with
robotics/EOAT
is a plus.
Strong knowledge of injection molding equipment and plastics.
Hands-on experience in process validation, DOE, and quality improvement.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in
Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field .
