Summary Dermatology Physician managing the MOHS program for Atlanta VA Medical Center. Position located in Atlanta VA Clinic CBOC in Decatur, GA.
Qualifications
United States Citizenship: Non-citizens may be considered only when no qualified citizen is available, in accordance with VA Policy.
Doctorate degree in medicine or osteopathic medicine from a VA‑approved school.
Full and unrestricted license to practice medicine/surgery in any U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or D.C.
Completed residency in dermatology approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs. (ACGME, AOA, or equivalent with five years U.S. practice).
Board‑certified dermatology practitioner or eligible Physician Resident Provider (PRP) with full license.
Proficiency in written and spoken English.
Preferred Experience: Experienced Dermatology MOHS surgeon.

Physical Requirements: able to walk, sit, talk, drive, use telephone; light lifting under 15 lbs; withstand stress and exposure to patients with psychiatric/medical conditions.
Duties
Diagnose and treat patients with neoplastic, inflammatory, and other dermatologic problems in outpatient and inpatient settings.
Provide medical and surgical treatment of skin diseases to veterans.
Oversee mid‑level providers and dermatology residents.
Receive and triage dermatology consults from VA providers.
Review requests for MOHS surgery from community care, determine appropriateness.
Perform MOHS surgery and oversee laboratory staff and policies.
Implement treatment strategies and interpret laboratory tests, biopsies.
Provide education to clinical trainees in didactic and experiential format.
Offer professional advice/consultation via in‑person or telemedicine.
Maintain knowledge of dermatology research literature.
