About The Role Ryan Transportation, a Shamrock company, is seeking an accomplished and highly competitive professional to join our team as a Produce Account Manager. This role requires expertise in the lifecycle of produce freight, a strong track record of winning new business, and the ability to build and maintain long‑term client partnerships in the produce market.
What You’ll Do
Heavy soliciting, including daily prospecting and cold calling, to gain new produce business
Build and maintain a robust produce customer base
Coordinate the movement of fresh produce with carriers
Identify and resolve freight discrepancies and other operational challenges
Communicate proactively and effectively with customers and carriers
Own the customer experience and relationship management
Maintain positive relationships with both customers and carriers
Adapt quickly to high‑level multitasking in a fast‑paced environment
Monitor market trends and adjust strategies accordingly
Collaborate effectively with shared resources and peer Account Managers
Build trust and confidence with clients through consistent, reliable service
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field
Minimum 1 year of successful sales experience in soliciting and managing produce brokerage accounts
Excellent relationship building and negotiation skills
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, basic PC application knowledge, and data entry skills
Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Demonstrated organizational and prioritization skills to meet deadlines
