About the Role Ryan Transportation, a Shamrock company, is seeking an accomplished and highly competitive professional to join our team as a Produce Account Manager. This role is designed for experienced and driven professionals who know the lifecycle of produce freight, who thrive on winning new business, and building long-term client partnerships in the Produce market.

In this position, you will work closely with other Account Managers to strategically manage the relationships and fleets of produce carriers in an effort to align their capacity with high volume, specialized, and key Ryan Transportation customers and lanes. You will leverage deep industry knowledge and a relentless drive to deliver transportation solutions that create value and strengthen client relationships. Success in this position requires a proven track record of soliciting and managing Produce brokerage accounts and the ability to excel in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.

What You’ll Do

Heavy soliciting including daily prospecting and cold calling to gain new Produce business

Build and maintain a Produce customer base

Coordinating the movement of fresh produce with carriers

Problem solving to identify solutions

Must be an effective and proactive communicator

Own the customer experience & relationship

Maintain positive customer and carrier relations

Be competitive & self-motivated

Monitoring market trends

Must be able to multi-task at a high level

Resolve freight discrepancies in a timely manner

Work effectively with shared resources and peers Able to build confidence and gain trust of customers

What You’ll Bring

Bachelor’s degree in business or related field

Minimum of 1 year of successful sales experience soliciting and managing Produce brokerage accounts

Excellent relationship building and negotiation skills

Strong customer relations ability with analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and alongside team members in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment

Computer literate in Microsoft Suite, along with basic knowledge and understanding of PC applications. Data entry skills and experience required

Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

Demonstrated organizational and prioritization skills to meet customer/company deadlines
