Reporting Reports To: Sales Executive Leader
Responsibilities
Attain new business growth within an assigned territory by identifying leads, prospecting, and selling new and profitable business in commercial, industrial, and recycling lines of service.
Develop effective relationships with customers and key decision makers.
Meet and exceed monthly targeted revenue goals.
Mine new potential business using market research, networking, and cold calling.
Manage prospects throughout the sales cycle from initial contact to negotiation and closing.
Develop in-depth knowledge of LRS solutions.
Utilize Salesforce to schedule and document all activities and develop robust information profiles on prospective customers.
Develop proposals and conduct presentations to communicate the value proposition of LRS solutions.
Conduct cold call prospecting activities to establish initial and follow-up appointments with customer decision-makers.
Maintain awareness of market behavior and competitive trends to anticipate changing customer needs.
Upsell additional services to existing and potential clients, including total waste stream management solutions.
Complete required Customer Service Agreements, CRM entries, reports, and other administrative work in a timely manner.
Build relationships and increase LRS visibility through participation in company-sponsored activities such as trade shows and chamber of commerce events.
Collaborate regularly with the Sales Leader to review activity, pipeline, and opportunities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to travel as required.
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of experience in direct sales in a customer-facing role.
Proven history of exceeding sales targets in a B2B environment.
Experience prospecting, identifying, and addressing customer needs.
Good understanding of the commercial waste and recycling industry.
Strategic selling experience with complex accounts with multiple decision makers.
Excellent communication, presentation, and people skills.
Proficient in Salesforce or similar CRM platform and MS Office Suite.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Strong work ethic, self-directed, and results oriented.
A passion for sustainability and environmental responsibility is a plus.
Physical Demands / Environmental Factors
Regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
Occasionally required to stand and walk.
Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Sporadic local travel required.
Compensation $50,000 to $60,000 plus uncapped commission.
