Job Summary:
Are you an outgoing, motivated individual with a strong desire to succeed? Cornerstone Systems is seeking dynamic, driven individuals to join our sales team. This entry‑level position offers an exciting opportunity to kickstart your career in logistics, focusing on building strong professional relationships, understanding customer needs, and providing tailored solutions. Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Identify key decision‑makers and develop professional relationships via phone calls, e‑mails, and face‑to‑face customer visits.
Meet metric expectations as defined by management.
Analyze customer shipping needs, negotiate rates, identify pain points, and provide effective supply chain solutions.
Utilize our vast portfolio of services to develop customized solutions based on customer needs.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers through constant communication, ensuring both day‑to‑day and long‑term needs are met.
Ensure customer commitments are met by working closely with internal teams and executing operational tasks as needed.
Demonstrate the ability to multitask and work effectively outside of a traditional office environment while maintaining business flow.
Participate in the planning and strategy for the long‑term growth and success of the department.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to provide solutions that add value and efficiencies within the customer’s supply chain.
Promote and display Cornerstone’s Core Values: Integrity, Honesty, Respect, Loyalty, and Never Satisfied.
Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
Perform other work‑related duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
Minimum Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills Required
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Transportation, Logistics, or related field preferred but not required.
Previous sales experience within the transportation or logistics industry is a plus but not required.
Strong desire to succeed in sales and build customer relationships.
Possess a competitive spirit and leadership qualities.
Highly motivated, results‑focused, and enthusiastic.
Strong negotiation skills with a focus on carrier, customer, and margin integrity.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Highly developed organizational and time‑management skills; ability to manage and prioritize work and customers.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
