As a Mental Health Practitioner, Clinical Trainee, or Mental Health Professional in Nystrom & Associates Community Based division, you’ll work in our ARMHS (Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services) program. Mental Health Practitioners provide community-based rehabilitative services to clients ages 18+. This is a great opportunity to work with clients in their homes, where they are most comfortable. In This Role, You’ll Have The Opportunity To
Provide culturally responsive mental health skills to clients and/or their families (if working with children) in the home, community, and/or school Assist clients in identifying goals for functional improvement and work with them to meet their goals Design and implement treatment/intervention in‑home reflective of client needs Receive clinical supervision from a qualified staff, and obtain continuing education units Employees pursuing professional licensure are eligible to participate in Nystrom & Associates’ Professional Development Track, which offers early-career therapists the opportunity to transition to an Outpatient Therapist after 9 months of providing Community-Based services and focuses on continuing education and training. Meet the Mental Health Practitioner requirements as per MN State Statute 245I.04.04. These qualifications include: Hold a Master’s degree or other graduate degree in a behavioral science or related field Hold a bachelor’s degree in a behavioral science or related field AND 2,000 hours of supervised experience delivering mental health services to people with mental illness Candidates who have completed a practicum or internship focused on behavioral sciences or related fields may qualify and are encouraged to apply regardless of whether they have 2,000 hours of experience
Have 4,000 hours of supervised experience delivering mental health services to people with mental illness
Meet the Clinical Trainee requirements per MN State Statute 245I.04.06 Meet the Mental Health Professional requirements per MN State Statute 245I.04.02 (licensed as a LICSW, LMFT, LPCC, or LP in Minnesota) Additional Requirements
Desire to work with children and families and/or adults in their homes; this includes walking, stairs, and the ability to crouch, stoop, sit on floors, and stand for periods of time Ability to work independently; valid driver’s license/auto insurance/reliable vehicle; drive a minimum of a 30‑mile radius around primary clinic location Proficient in computers: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and electronic health records (EHR) If interested in working with adults, must be able to meet with them during general daytime hours Seniority level
