We are currently seeking a

Spiritual Health CPE Program Manager

to join our Spiritual Care department. This full-time role will primarily work on-site.

SUMMARY

The Spiritual Health CPE Program Manager reports to the Health Equity Director of Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services. This role requires a dynamic and experienced ACPE Certified Educator who is tasked with developing and maintaining a Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) program. This role will lead the planning, development, execution, and accreditation process for the CPE Program. The program will specifically address the diverse cultural and spiritual needs of our patient population. Responsible for operating the CPE Program in all respect.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop a CPE Program accredited by ACPE that aligns with HHS Values and Mission

Work with Hennepin Healthcare staff as appropriate to design and implement a CPE program, which will include a CPE yearlong residency and possibly an intern summer unit

Ensure the program meets all ACPE accreditation standards and requirements and create an annual review process to monitor compliance

Work closely with the CPE Professional Advisory Group (PAG) to maintain an excellent education program and provides oversight for the reporting of CPE units to the ACPE National office

Create curriculum and training materials that reflect the highest standards of spiritual care education

Hire and supervise additional CPE educators as the program expands

Ensure the CPE program aligns with the unique challenges and opportunities of serving in a safety net hospital

Foster a collaborative and inclusive environment within the spiritual care team

Ensure the CPE program is sensitive to and inclusive of various cultural, religious, and spiritual beliefs present in an inner-city environment

Maintain at least .3 FTE of clinical work

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications:

Master of Divinity (MDiv) or equivalent advanced degree in theology, pastoral care, or a related field

Three or more years of experience in healthcare chaplaincy, board certification, leadership, startup environments

Proven experience in developing and leading CPE programs, including CPE residency, internship, and Supervisors in Training

An approved equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Multilingual skills are an asset

Familiarity with the specific needs and challenges of inner-city healthcare settings

Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:

Knowledge of accreditation processes and standards for CPE programs

Proven ability to run CPE programs

High emotional intelligence

Able to navigate virtual platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom

Ability to develop tools and resources to improve outcomes

Ability to adapt to changing needs of organization and department

Ability to problem-solve, communicate issues and information in a timely manner

Detail-oriented, well organized, self-directed and team oriented manner

Rapid learner who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Excellent customer service skills

Demonstrates support for the company's mission, vision and values

Position requires strong, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, organizational and time management skills and ability to handle multiple priorities

Must have strong computer skills, ability to work with Microsoft Office products and navigate multiple databases and electronic records

License/Certifications:

ACPE Certified

Full Board Certification CPE Certification (BCC) by one of the following boards

Association of Professional Chaplains (APC)

National Association of Catholic Chaplains (NACC)

Neshama the Association of Jewish Chaplains (NAJC)

Association for Spiritual Care/Association Canadienne de Soins Spiritual (CASC/ACSS)
