About The Role We’re seeking an experienced

Commercial Real Estate Attorney

to join a dynamic legal team supporting a growing practice in Durham, NC. As a key contributor, you will handle commercial real‑estate matters spanning acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, development, and financing. You will provide strategic legal counsel to stakeholders and internal business teams, independently manage transactions, and help shape real‑estate initiatives across multiple markets.

$100,000 to $140,000+ salary with generous bonus and benefits plan

What You’ll Be Doing Draft, review and negotiate a broad portfolio of commercial real‑estate documents: purchase & sale agreements, leases, easements, development agreements, loan documents. Lead due‑diligence processes, including title, surveys, environmental and zoning reviews. Advise clients and internal stakeholders on zoning, land‑use, regulatory and environmental issues impacting real‑estate transactions. Coordinate and manage closings and the full transaction life‑cycle from deal inception through post‑closing. Collaborate closely with development teams, investors, lenders, outside counsel and internal departments to drive efficient deal execution. Stay current on state and federal real‑estate laws, market trends, and regulatory shifts affecting commercial real‑estate.

What We’re Looking For Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Active license to practice law in

North Carolina, Georgia or Texas

(required). Minimum of 3 years of commercial real‑estate transactional experience. Proven strong transactional background, comfortable handling complex real‑estate matters. Excellent negotiation, written and verbal communication skills. High attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet tight deadlines, and work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications Experience with real‑estate development projects, real‑estate financing, or joint ventures. Familiarity with title insurance, construction law or commercial lending. Portable book of business (a plus but not required).
