Key Responsibilities
Lead or co‑lead negotiation, structuring, drafting, and closing of complex commercial real estate transactions (acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, development, easements, joint ventures)
Represent public entities and private clients in public finance matters (bond issuances, tax‑increment financing, public‑private partnerships, infrastructure financing)
Draft and review agreements, contracts, and ancillary documentation (e.g., financing agreements, interlocal agreements, site development agreements)
Coordinate with lenders, bond counsel, underwriters, financial advisors, municipal staff, and other stakeholders
Qualifications & Skills
JD from an accredited law school
3+ years of experience focused on public finance or commercial real estate transactions
Strong drafting, negotiation, and transactional skills
Familiarity with municipal/public finance structures (bonds, TIFs, P3s)
Solid understanding of real estate law fundamentals (title, zoning, land use, environmental)
Licensed in Texas (or ability to gain Texas admission)
Preferred: Prior experience with local government or public agencies
