We are currently looking to add a Senior Financial Analyst/FP&A Associate to our Denver HQ team. This is an on-site position in our downtown Denver headquarters. We are not considering relocation for out-of-state candidates or candidates who are not in metro Denver.
Position Summary We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst/FP&A Associate to join our Corporate FP&A team. This role is pivotal in driving financial visibility and performance across all divisions. You will partner closely with the VP Finance, divisional controllers, and accounting teams to deliver actionable insights, support strategic decision-making, and ensure rigorous financial discipline in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
Monthly FP&A Cadence:
Lead budget vs. actual analysis, forecast updates, and support board/PE reporting packages.
Job Cost & WIP Analysis:
Analyze construction-style % of completion, retainage, and under/over billings to ensure accurate revenue recognition and margin visibility.
Bid & Estimating Support:
Provide pricing analytics, margin sensitivity, and win/loss analysis to improve bid competitiveness.
Working Capital & Cash Management:
Monitor AR aging, DSO, retainage, and prepare cash forecasts for bank and lender reporting.
Operational KPI Reporting:
Develop and maintain dashboards for crew productivity, fleet utilization, safety trends, and job data quality.
Systems & Data Analytics:
Build and enhance Power BI dashboards; collaborate with BI/data teams; extract and validate data from ERP systems (Viewpoint Vista, Sage Intacct, OneStream).
Additional exposure: PE reporting (covenants, lender packages), light M&A support, and cost control analytics.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required). CPA or CFA preferred but not required.
Experience:
3–7 years in FP&A, corporate finance, or related roles; construction/heavy civil/industrial experience strongly preferred.
Technical Skills:
Advanced Excel modeling and financial analysis
OneStream familiarity and ERP experience (Viewpoint Vista, Sage Intacct, HCSS)
Strong understanding of job cost accounting and P&L drivers
Soft Skills:
Analytical mindset, attention to detail, ability to communicate insights to both finance and operations teams.
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary:
$100K – $130K (commensurate with experience); plus potential for annual bonus
