About The Job Fagron is seeking a qualified professional to fill the role of Senior Staff Accountant to join our Shared Services Finance team in Austin, TX. This role will support several of our US businesses.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and other accounting functions.
Manage daily cash reconciliations and escalations with AR and AP departments in case of variances.
Work closely with other departments, including procurement, operations, and payroll, to gather necessary information for financial analysis and reporting.
Contribute to the elaboration and processing of the balance sheets and financial overviews.
Evaluate capital projects and enter them in the Capex system to route for approval.
Identify opportunities for improving accounting processes and systems as well as best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Coordinate with other members of the finance team to review financial information and forecasts.
Assist in the annual budget process.
Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field, minimum of 2-5 years of accounting experience.
ERP System expertise required; Microsoft Dynamics and Quickbooks preferred.
Advanced Excel skills required, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s, macros, etc.
Solid team player with the ability to work independently in a confident, deliberate and productive manner.
Ability to research issues and arrive at logical well-documented analysis and conclusions.
Effective verbal and written communicator with both financial and non-financial individuals.
Core Competencies
Ability to work with others in a positive and professional manner and to develop and maintain strong working relationships with co-workers and management.
Ability to take initiative, including asking for and offering help when needed, performs work independently without being prompted.
Strong attention to detail and focus on quality, accuracy, and accountability.
