Job Description

The Facility Human Resources Generalist will provide a broad range of HR services to support recruitment and succession planning, leave management and employee relations. This role will also provide support with employment law and policy interpretation, compensation, staffing and benefits administration. The Facility HR Generalist will assist with employee rewards and recognition, as well as with regulatory compliance guidance and HR reporting. This role works onsite Monday to Friday at our Nestlé Health Science USA Manufacturing Facility in Franklin Park, Illinois.

Responsibilities

Execute HR Strategy: Aid in execution of the Nestlé People Strategy processes that attract, develop, recognize, and retain employees to support the organization\'s short- and long-term strategic business needs. Support Nestlé initiatives such as the Nestlé Management and Leadership Principles while executing workforce planning processes for the organization such as talent development, organizational planning, and organizational change management. Ensure the culture and working environment is open, empowering, fair, and equitable. Manage special projects in workforce management, strategic planning, quarterly/monthly people data reports and other ad-hoc works in progress. Recruitment Responsible for salaried and hourly staffing through onboarding and retention of the right talent with alignment to the sites’ staffing strategy. Collaborate with talent management teams in recruitment, new hire processing, post announcements, job descriptions, diversity recruitment strategies, interviewing candidates and other related tasks. Employee & Labor Relations

Serve as liaison between employees and site leadership, as needed. Build and maintain relations with employees at the manufacturing site to promote open communication and transparent, candid feedback. Conduct investigations, provide coaching, and document findings when required. Serve as liaison between employees and site leadership, as needed. Compliance

Support a holistic safety focus by driving people-related safety goals and business initiatives. Perform planned/impromptu investigations and audits to ensure and/or maintain EEO/AA/OFCC or Federal/State employment law compliance in practice as it relates to hiring, training, transfers, or promotions. Perform additional HR-related duties and tasks as assigned by the Facility HR Manager.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or a related field highly preferred. 3+ years of relevant full-cycle HR work experience required, preferably in a Manufacturing, Warehouse or Distribution environment. Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint) required. Knowledge and thorough understanding of Federal and State employment laws (e.g., EEO, AA, FMLA, ADA, Unemployment Insurance, Worker’s Compensation) required. Excellent communication (oral and written), presentation, follow-up and stakeholder management skills with the ability to develop and maintain cross-functional relationships. Highly organized, detail-oriented, team-oriented and analytical. Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision. Openness to diverse individuals and groups. Experience with HRIS and Timekeeping systems including SuccessFactors or Kronos a plus. Current or prior Project Management experience is desired (e.g., wage surveys or handbook policy revisions). Bilingual in English and Spanish highly desired. Willing and able to travel up to 5% for business purposes. Willing and able to work a flexible schedule Monday to Friday including mornings, afternoons and some evenings.

Compensation and Benefits

The approximate pay range for this position is $80,000 to $95,000. This range is a good faith estimate at the time of posting and may vary based on knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location. Nestlé offers performance-based incentives and a competitive total rewards package, which includes a 401k with company match, healthcare coverage and a broad range of other benefits. Incentives and/or benefit packages may vary depending on the position.
