Job Description

The Facility Human Resources Generalist provides a broad range of HR services to support recruitment and succession planning, leave management and employee relations. This role also supports employment law and policy interpretation, compensation, staffing and benefits administration. It assists with employee rewards and recognition, regulatory compliance guidance and HR reporting. This role works onsite Monday to Friday at our Nestle Health Science USA Manufacturing Facility in Franklin Park, Illinois.

Responsibilities

Executing HR Strategy: Aid in execution of the Nestle People Strategy processes that attract, develop, recognize, and retain employees to support short- and long-term strategic business needs.

Support Nestle initiatives such as the Nestle Management and Leadership Principles while executing workforce planning processes (talent development, organizational planning, and organizational change management).

Ensure the culture and working environment are open, empowering, fair, and equitable.

Manage special projects in workforce management, strategic planning, quarterly/monthly people data reports and other ad-hoc work in progress.

Recruitment: Responsible for salaried and hourly staffing through onboarding and retention of the right talent aligned to the sites' staffing strategy.

Collaborate with talent management teams in recruitment, new hire processing, posting announcements, job descriptions, diversity recruitment strategies, interviewing candidates, and related tasks.

Employee and Labor Relations: Serve as liaison between employees and site leadership as needed; build and maintain relations to promote open communication and candid feedback; conduct investigations, provide coaching, and document findings.

Compliance: Support a holistic safety focus by driving people-related safety goals and business initiatives; perform planned or impromptu investigations and audits to ensure compliance with EEO/AA/OFCC or federal/state employment laws related to hiring, training, transfers, or promotions; perform additional HR-related duties as assigned by the Facility Human Resources Manager.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related field highly preferred.

3+ years of relevant full-cycle HR experience, preferably in Manufacturing, Warehouse, or Distribution environments (equivalents considered).

Proficiency in MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint).

Knowledge of Federal and State employment laws (EEO, AA, FMLA, ADA, Unemployment Insurance, Workers' Compensation).

Excellent communication, presentation, follow-up and stakeholder management skills; ability to develop and maintain cross-functional relationships.

Highly organized, detail-oriented, team-oriented and analytical; able to work under pressure with minimal supervision.

Experience with HRIS and Timekeeping systems (SuccessFactors or Kronos a plus).

Project management experience is desired (e.g., wage surveys or policy revisions).

Bilingual in English and Spanish highly desired.

Willing and able to travel up to 5% for business; flexible schedule Monday to Friday including mornings, afternoons and some evenings.

The approximate pay range for this position is $80,000 to $95,000. This range is a good faith estimate at posting; final compensation may vary based on knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location.
