Overview Senior Operations Manager (Project Management)

The Senior Operations Manager is responsible for the success of the Inbound and Outbound departments of the Distribution Center. Success is providing a safe, productive, fun and hard-working environment for team members. The Senior Operations Manager must have a passion for developing leaders, be data-centric and love analyzing trends, proficient in identifying opportunities and deploying actions while empowering a cohesive, motivated, and execution driven Leadership team.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the General Manager, the Senior Operations Manager will:

Manage to ensure operational excellence in all areas within their scope, including efficient operations of warehouse management systems and related equipment, inventory management and product placement, and proper maintenance and organization of all Inbound and Outbound functions.

Provide leadership, labor planning, and direction for both IB and OB teams; including Managers, Supervisors, Leads, and Ops Associates who are responsible for accurately processing 6,000-10,000 orders daily as well as processing inbound receipts and replenishing inventory levels.

Be responsible for overall performance of IB and OB departments, including safety, talent management, defining KPIs, meeting SLAs.

Collaborate with Process Engineering team and peers to analyze KPIs and engage in best practices.

Analyze operations data to maximize department quality, productivity, and efficiency.

Review financial data to determine how efficiently the DC is using its space and labor.

Drive continuous improvement projects and cost control efficiencies for the business.

Recruit, mentor, train, and develop employees, conduct annual performance reviews and disciplinary meetings when necessary.

Ensure a culture of safety by following safety and 5S policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Experience leading Inbound and Outbound operations within a Distribution Center context.

Ability to develop leaders, be data-centric, and analyze trends to identify opportunities and deploy actions.

Proficiency in managing warehouse management systems, inventory management, product placement, and maintenance of inbound and outbound functions.

Experience providing labor planning, directing managers, supervisors, leads, and associates responsible for high-volume order processing (6,000-10,000 orders daily) and inbound receipts.

Strong focus on safety, KPI definition, and meeting service level agreements.

Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze KPIs and implement best practices.

Strong analytical skills to review operations and financial data for space and labor efficiency.

Ability to drive continuous improvement and cost-control initiatives.
