HPS, a leading Bay Area Healthcare and Workplace Architectural Firm for over 60 years, is actively seeking a Job Captain/ BIM Manager to join our Team. This position will provide Revit and BIM leadership and work with all staff to help innovate and support the Firm’s documentation strategies on a variety of projects. After an initial period to evaluate and provide recommendations relative to BIM/ Revit practices, the position will entail approximately 25% time related to continual improvement of those strategies, and 75% time working in a Job Captain position on Firm projects. Being an overall Team player with respect for all staff members is a must for this position and any position in the Firm. BIM Management Develop and maintain BIM Standards, Revit Family Library, Templates, and best practices for the office Supervise updating of standard details as required by Code updates, contractor input, etc. Set up BIM Execution Plans Provide hands-on BIM support to Firm-wide project teams Coordinate modeling issues and review for accuracy and quality Training & Technology Help onboard new team members and share best practices Provide Team training and oversee project implementation to establish a consistent and efficient workflow Explore and implement new tools, workflows, and digital strategies that enhance efficiency Work with leadership and IT on technology strategy and software updates including Licenses for Revit, ACAD, SketchUp, Bluebeam etc. Job Captain/ Project-Related Responsibilities ACC project set up - work-sharing, collaborations and bridging Coordination and documentation of architectural projects from design through construction Maintain accuracy and completeness of construction documents through continuous review and implementation Develop and manage models and drawings that align with project design intent Preferred Experience Strong proficiency in Revit Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), especially model bridging and collaboration workflows Experience with point cloud models (preferred but not required) Experience with clash detection (preferred but not required) Minimum 7-years experience developing architectural construction documentation
