Optometrist – Sacramento, CA – Part Time
Join Vision To Learn and help provide vision services to school‑age children in underserved communities. Competitive pay, flexible schedule, mileage reimbursement, no federal holidays, and no nights or weekends (except very select voluntary exceptions).
Salary Range: $85 – $95 per hour.
Schedule: Part‑time, up to 2 days per week. Independent contractor position.
Position Description Vision To Learn is seeking a qualified Optometrist licensed to practice in the State of California for a mobile clinic role.
Key Position Responsibilities
Provide vision evaluations: check VA’s, assess binocular vision, IOP, pupils, perform a full refraction and prescribe appropriate correction, and assess ocular health.
Prescribe vision devices, test patients on all applicable equipment to determine the most suitable for his/her condition, and instruct patient in the proper use of it.
Confirm that patient diagnosis is properly documented in the internal systems.
Qualifications
California Optometry License.
Ability to commute throughout the greater Sacramento County as the position is a mobile clinic.
Must pass Department of Justice background check (LiveScan) and drug test.
