Responsibilities
Enhance the scalability, automation, and efficiency of large-scale training and real-time inference systems.
Pioneer the development of LLM inference infrastructure to support next-generation GenAI workloads at Amazon Ads scale.
Work closely with applied scientists to optimize the performance of machine-learning models and infrastructure, and implement end-to-end solutions.
About the team SPB Ad Response Prediction team is a highly motivated, collaborative, and entrepreneurial team with a bias for action. We are looking for a Software Engineer with a strong background in machine learning engineering to join our team and help grow the business. You will partner with a team of engineers and scientists to build advanced machine learning models and infrastructure, from training to inference, including emerging LLM-based systems, that deliver highly relevant ads to shoppers across all Amazon platforms and surfaces worldwide.
5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language
5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Compensation and posting Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $151,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Depending on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
